THIS WEBSITE IS PARTIAL, conditional and capricious. In some respects it resembles a snapshot from a moving train. There is a view from the train, but the view does not offer much help on how fast the travel or how far the destination. Which is OK. Because as has been famously remarked (in 'Eldorado',1881)  to travel hopefully is a better thing than to arrive, and the true success is to labour.  A perverse view some say, but the words of Robert Louis Stevenson seem peculiarly appropriate to the ethos of this website. Our final destination, as glimpsed from here, is to construct a journey with interesting references. This is the intent. Perhaps you can catch the drift ...
